The coin is named after the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, one of the most famous orchestras in the world.
The obverse (front side) features the Golden Hall of the Wiener Musikverein concert hall in Vienna.
The reverse (back side) showcases a collection of orchestral instruments, including a cello, violins, a harp, a bassoon, and a French horn. The coin was designed by Thomas Pesendorfer, former chief engraver of the Austrian Mint.
