Information about Valcambi SA

Valcambi SA is a globally renowned refinery from Switzerland, established in 1961. It was founded under the name Valori & Cambi by five Swiss entrepreneurs. From 1967, when the company changed its name to Valcambi SA, until 2003, it gradually became 100% owned by Credit Suisse. Until July 2015, the company was owned by European Gold Refineries Holding SA. In 2017, it was acquired by Global Gold Refineries Ltd (GGR), with its main headquarters in Switzerland. Today, the company is fully managed by Gold Refineries Ltd, which is owned by REL Singapore PTE Ltd and Rajesh Exports Limited.

Valcambi SA is considered the largest Swiss refinery, with a refining capacity of approximately 2,000 metric tonnes per year. Covering an area of 3.3 hectares, this refinery is one of the largest in the world. In addition to refining, the company offers a wide range of services, including the production of cast and minted bars, assaying, the development of specialized semi-finished products for the watch industry, as well as the design and production of coins, medals, blanks, and complex alloys.

Valcambi’s refined gold and silver products are accredited by LBMA Good Delivery, while its platinum and palladium products are accredited by LPPM Good Delivery.
