Information about Valcambi SA
Founded 1961 in south-eastern Switzerland under the name Valori & Cambi by 5 Swiss entrepreneurs. In 1967 the name was changed to Valcambi SA and in the same year Credit Suisse bought 50% of the refinery and in 1980 it became a 100% owner. In 2003 Credit Suisse sold the refinery to European Gold Refineries SA. With a refining capacity of 2000 tons, Valcambi SA is the largest Swiss refinery and one of the largest in the world. It is currently owned by Global Gold Refineries Ltd. and Rajesh Exports Limited.
